What is a Local Positioning System (LPS) ?
The LPS or Local Positioning System is a method of “accurately” “locating” “an object” within a “boundary”. The following is what the terms enclosed in quotes mean.
- Accurately: An accuracy of plus/minus 3 centimeters.
- Locating: Location of the object in longitude, latitude, altitude.
- An object: A gadget not less than the size of a matchbox.
- Boundary: A boundary is a cubical space in the real world with a minimum domain area of as less as 1 cubic meter and as large as 100 cubic Kilometers.(10KM * 10KM * 1KM)( Length * Width * Height)
